Watching TV Is Costing You $27.40 Per Night

You are entitled to say “This sounds like a load of rubbish, please explain?” I am glad you asked, because I have already proved this to be true. Until a year ago I was just like millions of other people, sitting down in front of the television watching my favourite programs for at least 3 hours each night of the week. I enjoyed it too, goodness knows why. I did not learn much useful stuff from it, and 3 hours non stop sitting is not what you would call a healthy way to spend 3 continuous hours.

I recently became aware of an offer which was a work at home internet marketing business. It entailed only a modest ingoing fee, and a guaranteed minimum earn in the first 12 months that well covered my outlay. Any shortfall of actual earnings when lined up against the minimum earnings nominated amount are to be paid to me. Well, heavens above, what have I got to lose by getting involved with this organisation?

I was really being called upon to make a decision, swap my 3 unhealthy hour TV watching time with 3 hours working on my computer, earning as I was learning. It was not a gut wrenching decision, as I have said before; I was learning nothing of any real use 21 hours a week, not exercising body or mind. I did not take long to make the decision, swap the box for my office, still sitting for 3 hours but with my mind in full use, you use it or you lose it! I bet you are building up a heap of questions at this stage, I know I was!

Let’s get these out in the open and give you some answers? In life, and rightly so, you get nothing for nothing. Successful people devoted time studying various opportunities, then taking the biggest step in the world, they took action. They got off their bum, just like I am going to encourage you to do! Another question you will have is what credentials do I need to succeed? Academically, average IQ will do the job nicely, but more importantly you need to get the right mindset, just like you need in every job you do. You are used to a different sort of routine, meeting the 7 o’clock start time when clocking into your TV watching, and knocking off to get ready for bed. No different here, just a change of rooms.

Next question, do I need any previous experience to master this business? The answer is no, you will be taught the skills needed to earn a good living by a universally known and respected tutor. You are in the best possible hands to learn information that will stand you in good stead for the rest of your life. What about computer and IT skills? A good understanding is very helpful, but don’t rush back to that TV because you have marked yourself with a cross here! You see, this was my stumbling block, I liked the whole business concept, but being an aged person I did not have the computer experience that the vast majority of people have today. I was losing sleep over this, and then one day I decided to take the bull by the horns and teamed up with a friend who lives 1,000 kms from my home. We had previously done business, he is a switched on IT person, just what I needed. We share the cost, the work load, the fun (and it is too) and the rewards. Best day’s work I ever did!

Now I had better get to the nitty gritty about making money. The central part of this business is web traffic direction, getting traffic to the websites that are set up for you. Advertising is an integral part, this is a very highly paid profession, and you will become quite proficient at this useful art. You also learn entrepreneurial and advanced business skills. Beats the daylights out of watching TV, and the best is yet to come.

There’s a lucrative affiliates arm attaching, and you will be introduced to a shopping opportunity that is mind boggling. You do not directly sell or stock anything, the system is fully automated, and you will be offering over 1.347 million items for sale and be paid by Fortune 500 companies for each customer you send to them. Article writing is another earner, and there’s heaps of tuition to help you along the way.

I reckon this is a good sum to do. Make today the biggest day in your life by visiting the website below and take action. Within the next 12 months you can earn say $10,000 or $27.40 per day. This is a modest expectancy, but I’m not one for hype, just bear in mind that this business is quite capable of earning 6 figure incomes. Also remember this $10,000 is in addition to what you are already earning. Now let’s look at doing nothing at all? Keep watching TV 3 hours a night, at the end of 12 months you are not as healthy as you were 12 months ago, probably put on a few unwelcome kilos, you are no wiser than you were 12 months ago, and your finances have not improved one dollar.

I took the right decision, and guess what, now I am doing well and can watch whatever TV I wish to. It is purely a matter of choice, and I am writing this in the hope that someone follows me and achieves the results that are there for everyone to share. Let’s label my article “A Wake Up Call “. 5 Secrets to Creating a Powerful Google Profile

Copyright (c) 2009 OnlineBizU.com

I often want to find out more about someone before I decide to do business with that person. To get the information that I need, I Google the person’s name and see how well-known they are online and what they have to say. What I discovered in my search is that their social media profiles, like those found on Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook, show up high in the search results. Google, however, has started giving these well-known social networking sites a run for their money by creating their own online profile option.

Google Profiles are simple web pages where you can list general information about yourself. Anyone who can create an account on Google and verify their real name through a screening routine can now have a personal profile page on Google. The most powerful aspect of this system, however, is the ability to include links in your profile, which can pack a powerful search engine optimization (SEO) punch for you. Best of all, Google provides this service at no cost to you.

Profiles are public and include your actual name and/or a nickname. You can list your occupation, where you are located (your profile will be used for Google Maps), a list of links, your photo and a short introduction. Google even provides a way for visitors to click a link on your profile to contact you directly.

Here are 5 secrets to creating a powerful Google Profile:

1. Upload your photo. One of the keys to creating relationships online is to let others know you’re a real person. The easiest way to do that is to provide a visual cue, like a photo, to help them remember you.

2. Include keywords in bio. The “About Me” section is where you can use outbound keyword-rich links to your advantage. As you compose this section, be sure and include several keywords others might use to find you, and link those back to your web site. For example, if you’re a divorce attorney in Houston, you might have the keyword phrases, “Houston divorce attorney” and “family law attorney” as links back to your primary web site.

3. Link to your sites and profiles. You can link to any number of sites from your Google profile. Just like in your bio, use keywords to your advantage here as well. So, if you run a cleaning business and have produced several videos demonstrating what you do, instead of listing your link to your YouTube videos as “YouTube.com,” you might instead use “Professional Cleaning Videos,” which links to your YouTube stream instead.

You should add the following links to your profile:

–web site(s)

–blog

–all of your social networking profiles (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Linkedin)

–YouTube.com or UStream channel

–Squidoo lens

–Social bookmarking profiles (Delicious, Reddit, Digg

–Article syndication page

–Free giveaway sign up page

–Products page

–Services page

4. Showcase your products and services. The page editor allows you to upload images through photo sharing sites Flickr and Picasa. Upload images of your physical or information products or shots of you in action delivering your service.

5. Take care when choosing your profile URL. If you have a Gmail account, Google will ask you if your want to use that username as part of your profile URL. Be aware that if you choose that option, you are inadvertently giving away your Gmail address. I chose instead the longer profile URL with the long string of numbers. I don’t like my email address appearing anywhere online, so even though this profile URL is longer and more difficult to reference, it beats filling my inbox with spam.

If you don’t use Gmail, you can select any available username to be part of your profile URL. If later on you sign up for Gmail, you can choose this username as your Gmail username. Once you’ve selected your customized URL, you won’t be able to change it or delete it. However, you can make it private at any time by selecting your old URL on the “Edit profile” page.

Take a few minutes today to claim your name and create a powerful profile for your business. It costs you nothing, creates powerful one-way inbound links back to your site, and will help you get found online.

Link Building: Is Faster Better?

Most human beings are fans of immediate gratification, especially when it comes to making a difference in their website traffic. We’d all like to see results *yesterday*, and if we think we can speed things along by embarking on a frenzied, short term effort with a big impact, then we’re all up for it!

But when it comes to building backlinks to a website, is faster really better?

Or should you focus your efforts on a steady and long term campaign?

This article will tell you the most beneficial approach to take. Let’s start at the beginning…

How Does Link Building Work?

Link building is an integral aspect of driving traffic to your website. When you build links to your website, you create two types of incoming traffic:

*Direct traffic.

This occurs when visitors click the link that was formed. For instance, if you’re doing Article Marketing, each article you submit has a resource box that contains a link back to your website. When people come across your article, they can click the link in your resource box which would then take them to your website. That is direct traffic–your visitors are finding you directly from the link itself.

*Indirect traffic.

An increase in backlinks can dramatically affect your search engine ranking over the long term. This means that when people go to Google and do a search for your keyword terms, your website appears higher up in the rankings.

The higher your website appears in the search engine results list, the more likely people will click through to your website. If your website appears on the first page of Google’s results page (or better yet, at the top of the list), then the traffic to your website will increase because more people are finding you via search engines.

While both of these types of traffic are beneficial, the main benefit of link building is in SEO–your website appearing higher in Google when someone does a search for your keyword terms. Traffic from search engines can make a dramatic impact on your website over the long term, while the direct traffic you’ll receive from your articles is more of a short term thing.

Link Building: It Takes Time To See Results

When you’re building links and waiting on results, you should be looking at your calendar and not your watch.

Search engines do not re-evaluate incoming links on a daily or weekly basis. Most search engines will re-calculate your backlinks every 3 months or so, and at that time make adjustments in your search engine ranking.

So, when you’re marketing your site do not expect to see major or lasting results for several months.

When you build links, you can of course reap some benefits before this time–when your article is published at article directories and other publishers you can receive traffic from those sources even before there is an impact at the search engine level.

If your article is published in a popular e-zine, you could even receive a substantial burst of traffic from that one appearance. Keep in mind that this is short term traffic–most of the time your biggest boost of direct traffic (via ezines, article directories and other publishers) from an article will be in the first few days after it has been published.

Should You Try To Build Links Fast?

If you are interested in long term and lasting results (as most website owners are), your best bet is to undertake a link building campaign where you accumulate links steadily and consistently over time. The results from this type of long range approach are more likely to be beneficial to your website than trying to build an onslaught of links all at once.

If you were to take the “fast and furious” approach, a rapid accumulation of links could damage your SEO, which would in turn negatively impact your long term traffic trends.

The goal is not to do a week or two (or even a month or two) of frenzied marketing and link building and then quit–that is not how SEO works. Building traffic to a website takes consistent work, and it’s not done overnight.

As a website owner who wants more targeted visitors to your website, your best bet is to develop a link building campaign that gradually builds links over time. Your main marketing activity should be something that you can do on an ongoing basis.

Article marketing is a great way to gradually build links, especially if you use a quality article distribution service. Distribute your articles to hundreds of targeted publishers with the click of a button - for more information go to=>
